KUDUS – Smiles, curiosity, and enthusiasm were evident on the players' faces as they stepped onto the Supersoccer Arena (SSA) in Kudus on Monday, June 22, 2026. A day before the start of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All Stars 2026, young female footballers from across Indonesia took the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the stadium that will serve as the stage for their matches over the coming week.
For many participants, the session marked their first experience with the atmosphere of the Supersoccer Arena. Beyond their opening practice, the athletes worked to adapt to the pitch, scout the stadium layout, and build confidence ahead of the official tournament kickoff on June 23, 2026.
Twelve teams—selected through the MilkLife Soccer Challenge in Kudus, Solo, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Surabaya, Malang, Banjarmasin, and Samarinda—took turns visiting the venue. Despite the intense midday heat, the players remained eager to run through training drills, embracing an experience they had long anticipated.
Many players glanced frequently toward the stands. Some took moments to capture photos with teammates, while others dove straight into drills led by their respective coaches. The vibrant atmosphere underscored the determination of the young athletes who earned their spots in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026.
For Tangerang All Stars player Zilda Afna Syaqila, the opening training session was a crucial opportunity to get acclimated to the field conditions.
“It required some adjustment since this is my first time playing on this pitch. However, the coach's instructions have been very helpful. We are continuously strengthening our communication within the team,” Zilda said.
She noted that adjusting to the pitch is a top priority early on. Nevertheless, the excitement of the stadium and the opportunity to face top players from various cities have served as added motivation to perform at her best.
This shared enthusiasm is felt by other players who, despite their diverse backgrounds, are united by a common goal. The MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars serves as more than just a competition; it provides a platform for gaining competitive experience, expanding social circles, and assessing performance alongside top-selected talent from various regions.
Tangerang All Stars coach Leonardo Sedubun noted that the initial training session was used to help players adapt to the match environment and build confidence ahead of their opening game.
“This is the second year for the Tangerang All Stars, though with a new roster. While they may seem nervous, I constantly emphasize staying relaxed and performing at their best. I tell them to be confident because they are the selected few. This is the premier stage for them to showcase their abilities,” said Leonardo.
According to Leonardo, competing in environments like the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars is vital for youth development. Beyond facing opponents from different regions, players learn to adapt to competitive atmospheres that differ from their daily training.
He also expressed admiration for the facilities in Kudus, noting that the stadium used for the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars offers a unique experience for young athletes pursuing a football career.
“I am actually envious; Kudus has become a hub for women's football development with such a representative stadium. I hope that in the future, similar attention can be given throughout Indonesia so the women's football ecosystem can continue to grow,” he added.
