From Nerves to Confidence: HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026 Serves as a Development Platform for Young Female Footballers
KUDUS – Beyond the roaring crowds and team rivalries lies a story of courage, as dozens of young athletes traveled from across the country to pursue a shared dream. For them, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All Stars 2026 is more than a football tournament; it serves as a valuable opportunity to learn, develop, and showcase their talents on a larger stage.

From June 23 to 28, 2026, the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus hosted 192 female athletes across 12 All Stars teams. Each squad featured 16 players selected from various Indonesian cities during the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Series 1 and 2 of 2025–2026. The athletes arrived representing not only their hometowns but also the aspirations of their families, coaches, and everyone who has supported their pursuit of success on the pitch.

For most participants, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars offers a unique experience compared to previous competitions. Beyond meeting new opponents from across the country, they must adapt to the heightened pressure of tournament play and the expectation to perform at their best.
Learning to Manage Match Pressure

This atmosphere was evident on the first day of competition, which brought together teams with distinct styles of play. Amid the intense rivalry, many players admitted they were still grappling with nerves.
Bandung All Stars coach Fauzi Bramantio noted that such feelings are to be expected for players of this age. Despite having prepared since February 2026, the unique intensity of the tournament presents its own challenges.
“The children gave their best, but it is normal for them to feel nervous in their first match. We understand this given their youth. We will work to boost their confidence so they can perform more freely in the second match,” said Fauzi.
According to Fauzi, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars presents a tough test because all participants were selected through a rigorous process. This results in a level playing field where every match remains highly competitive.
Learning how to handle such pressure is a crucial part of youth development. Players learn emotional regulation, decision-making under pressure, and maintaining confidence when facing evenly matched opponents.
Bandung All Stars player Riyanti Saffana Suryani echoed this sentiment, describing the experience firsthand. Her team’s goalless draw will serve as an evaluation point for upcoming matches.

“The pressures of the opening match meant we weren't fully prepared. I will strive to improve in the next game so the team can reach its maximum potential,” she said.
For Riyanti, the experience of managing competitive pressure is an essential lesson that cannot always be replicated in routine training.
When Cohesion Becomes the Key Asset
A similar narrative emerged from the Yogyakarta All Stars camp. Despite securing a decisive victory over Banjarmasin, coach Tri Wulandari revealed that her team also faced obstacles in the early minutes of the match.
According to Tri, the players appeared tense in the first half and struggled to showcase their full potential. This was largely due to the high number of new players making their debut in the atmosphere of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars.

“The children were nervous in their first match, leading to many missed opportunities. However, after adjustments at halftime, they were able to play with more composure and enjoy the game. The challenge is that our team is dominated by new faces, so cohesion remains the primary focus,” explained Tri Wulandari.
She added that the coaching staff has prioritized building the players' confidence so they can perform more freely and support one another on the field.
“We encouraged the players to be more relaxed, confident, and trusting of their teammates. As a result, they were able to play collectively and score several goals,” she said.
Her remarks highlight that youth football development transcends technical and tactical aspects. Teamwork, communication, and mutual trust are critical skills that are being continuously cultivated.
Representing Regions and Keeping Dreams Alive
For these young athletes, participating in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars holds significance beyond merely chasing a victory.
Yogyakarta All Stars player Nadia Shakila Azzahra is among those who expressed immense pride in the opportunity. Recording a hat-trick in the opening match stands as a milestone in her developing football career.
For Nadia, however, the achievement is not just about the goal count. Rather, she takes pride in representing her home region in a competition featuring top talent from across the country.

“I am proud to uphold the good name of Yogyakarta. I believe the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars is a prestigious stage where we can exhibit our best talent for higher levels of competition, which aligns with my hope of being selected for the Singapore Cup,” Nadia said.
These statements illustrate how such competitions serve as a vital source of motivation for young athletes. They are not merely playing for the present, but laying the foundation for greater aspirations in the future.
Many players have traveled to Kudus with similar goals. They seek to gain experience, sharpen their skills, and demonstrate that their hard work can propel them to the next level of their careers.
Uniting Talent from Across the Country

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars serves not only as a competition but as a gathering point for young female football talent from across Indonesia. Players who previously only heard rumors about the strength of other teams now have the opportunity to face them directly on the pitch.
The opening day featured several notable storylines, including the debut of Samarinda All-Stars in the 2026 tournament. Facing a Jakarta All-Stars side that reached last season’s semifinals, Samarinda played with confidence to secure a 2-1 victory in their Group A opener.
The result signals an increasingly competitive landscape, where seeded status provides no guarantee of success and new teams are eager to prove their caliber.
Other matches were equally contested: Surabaya defeated Malang 2-0 in the East Java derby, Semarang overcame Solo 2-0 in Group B, and defending champion Kudus began its title defense with a 2-0 win over Tangerang in Group C. Meanwhile, the match between Bandung and Bekasi ended in a scoreless draw.
Beyond the scores, players gained invaluable experience, learning to navigate different playing styles, managing match pressure, and benchmarking their development against the best youth talent from other regions.
Samarinda All-Stars coach Taufik Hidayat acknowledged the challenge of defeating a top-seeded opponent, stating his players had to work hard from the opening whistle.
“We knew Jakarta had quality players, so we focused on defense initially. Once the players found their rhythm in the second half, they executed our instructions well to secure the win,” he said.
For Taufik, the result is proof that his young Samarinda squad can compete at an elite level.
Kudus All-Stars coach Yayat Hidayat emphasized the importance of developing early-age tactical awareness, noting that competitions like the MLSC All Stars are vital for refining technical skills and understanding the game.
“I instructed my players to control the midfield, as that is the heart of the game. When we dominate the middle, our transition to the attack becomes significantly more effective,” he explained.
Impact on the Development of Women’s Football

Beyond mere competition, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars provides a platform for players to gain consistent match experience. Opportunities to face opponents from diverse regions help athletes gauge a broader level of competition while encouraging continuous development.
Events such as these also serve as an evaluation tool for coaches to assess player progress, covering technical skills, mental resilience, and teamwork capabilities.
The consistent organization of youth-level tournaments helps foster a new generation of female football talent nationwide. Players gain space to showcase their abilities, while coaches can monitor athletic development more effectively through competitive gameplay.
Ultimately, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026 is about more than just wins and losses. The tournament chronicles the growth of young Indonesian female footballers as they navigate pressure, build self-confidence, pursue their dreams, and prepare for higher levels of play.
While they are competing for points and advancement on the pitch, they are simultaneously building valuable experiences that will serve as a foundation for their long-term journeys in professional football. (JMY/mainkekudus)
