The 2025 SenengMinton Festival concluded successfully at GOR Djarum in Jati, Kudus, this Tuesday afternoon (June 24). Four different schools secured three festival championship titles and one supporter award.
The winners included MI NU Miftahul Ulum for the first-grade division, MI NU Imaduddin Hadiwarno for the second-grade division, SD NU Nawa Kartika for the third-grade division, and MI Negeri Kudus for the supporter competition.
Yoppy Rosimin, Program Director of Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, stated that the first series of the 2025 SenengMinton Festival builds on the positive reception of two previous events. He expressed hope that fostering a love for badminton at the grassroots level through fun-filled competitions will serve as an initial step in identifying and developing future athletes.
“The SenengMinton Festival is a structured way to introduce badminton to children, involving school teachers and systematic games that inspire a passion for the sport. Its massive participation is crucial to maintaining the badminton pipeline and preparing a golden generation of players through enjoyable competition,” Yoppy said.
