KUDUS, May 31, 2026 – The final week of the HYDROPLUS Soccer League Kudus 2025-2026 at the Supersoccer Arena in Rendeng, Kudus, Central Java, concluded with intense competition on Sunday (May 31). In the U-15 category, Putri Surakarta secured a spot in the national round alongside league leaders Scorpion FC after finishing as runners-up. In the U-18 division, Samba Persada Women claimed the title after defeating Putri Batang, finishing the season with 34 points.
The HYDROPLUS Soccer League represents a tangible effort by the Djarum Foundation to expand competitive opportunities for young female footballers, fostering growth through consistent match experience. This competition complements the existing development ecosystem for girls' football, which begins at an early age through the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) for U-8, U-10, and U-12 age groups, creating a structured and sustainable pathway to the professional level.
HYDROPLUS Soccer League Program Director Teddy Tjahjono noted that the league is one of the few competitive youth women's football leagues in Indonesia to utilize a full-competition format. By hosting events in four regions—Jakarta, Bandung, Kudus, and Surabaya—the program aims to accommodate emerging talent looking to build their careers systematically.
“We created the HYDROPLUS Soccer League as a platform to build upon our work with the MLSC. This is a crucial developmental stage to ensure continuity so our young players can channel their talents. Later, the champions and runners-up from all four regions will compete in the national HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026 with a highly competitive and exciting atmosphere,” Teddy said.
Beyond competing for the national title, the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026 serves as a vital talent-scouting venue for the Indonesia U-16 Women's National Team, which will represent the nation on the international stage. “The All-Stars concept is being implemented for the first time in Indonesia using a double-round-robin league format, bringing together eight teams from four regions. A scouting team will identify talented participants to strengthen the national squad. They will be prepared for the Srikandi Merdeka Cup, scheduled for August at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus. I wish everyone good luck in training for the national round, as this is a very important moment,” Teddy added.
Deputy Regent of Kudus, Bellinda Birton, who attended the final week of the HYDROPLUS Soccer League Kudus 2025-2026 at the Supersoccer Arena, praised the progress of girls' football development in Kudus, which began three years ago. She noted that the initiative not only uncovers potential talent but also provides a positive impact on the Kudus community.
“Thank you to the Djarum Foundation for providing a positive venue for our young girls to channel their talents. Moving forward, there will be several national-level events in Kudus that will surely be even more exciting. Thankfully, events like these provide a positive multiplier effect for the Kudus community, boosting local businesses and accommodations. I hope this competition continues to produce quality athletes who will bring pride to Kudus, following the footsteps of two local athletes, Della Citra Ayu Anggraini and Asyifa Sholawa Farizqi, who recently attended a national team training camp in France,” said Bellinda.
In the final U-15 match, Putri Surakarta faced Scorpion FC, who had already qualified for the national round by securing the top spot in the standings on the previous matchday. Despite the league standings being decided, the intensity and pride remained high from the opening whistle.
Both teams played aggressively to secure the final three points, battling for control in the midfield. Putri Surakarta threatened first with a fourth-minute free kick from captain Adinda Resti, but the ball sailed over the crossbar. The deadlock was broken when Putri Surakarta defender Nadya Iqmaril Laili capitalized on an opportunity in front of the net, slipping the ball past Scorpion FC goalkeeper Alya Putri Ariyanto to give her team a 1-0 lead.
Down by a goal, Scorpion FC attempted to build an attack, but the Putri Surakarta defensive line held firm, repeatedly thwarting their efforts. Putri Surakarta dominated the first half with intense pressing and fast-paced attacks that frequently penetrated Scorpion FC's danger zone, forcing goalkeeper Alya to make several crucial saves. Scorpion FC finally gained momentum through a free-kick, with Latisha Safa Berliana’s strike finding the right side of the net in the 20th minute to level the score at 1-1 by halftime.
Entering the second half, Putri Surakarta sought to extend their lead by creating multiple chances. Adinda’s corner kick was capitalized on by Nadya, whose delicate touch sent the ball into the back of the net. Leading 2-1, Putri Surakarta remained motivated to secure their spot in the national round. The Solo-based club widened their lead to 3-1 after Anissa Tri Nurjannah converted an assist from Ika Wonda, sealing the victory for Putri Surakarta.
Putri Surakarta head coach Syachban Yusuf praised his team’s all-out performance, which secured both the three points and the final ticket to the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026. “It was an exciting match as both teams were well-prepared and gave their best. We are grateful for the 3-1 win, but there is still much to evaluate ahead of the national round. We will implement training programs to enhance our team’s capabilities to compete against teams from other regions,” Syachban said.
Ika Wonda, a graduate of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge in Solo, also achieved success by winning the U-15 Top Scorer title after netting 31 goals throughout the competition. The elevated level of play has made Ika optimistic about her future as a professional footballer. “The match was challenging as our attacks were often countered or blocked, but the coach told us to stay confident from the sidelines. We supported each other and stayed solid on the pitch. We are now more motivated for the national round, as I have a dream of playing for the Indonesian women’s national team,” Ika said.
Meanwhile, despite the loss in their final match, Scorpion FC secured the top of the table with 42 points. Across 15 matches, Scorpion FC recorded 14 wins and only one loss. The reigning U-14 HYDROPLUS Soccer League 2024 champions remain humble ahead of the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026, which will take place in Kudus this July 2026. The event will bring together the U-15 and U-18 champions and runners-up from Surabaya, Jakarta, Kudus, and Bandung.
“We thank the Djarum Foundation and HYDROPLUS for providing this platform for the players. As we prepare to face teams from other regions in the national round, our evaluation is to keep the players grounded, as the national level will be different. We will conduct a thorough review of both our on-field performance and off-field dynamics, including team cohesion and chemistry,” said Scorpion FC assistant coach Islam Andhika.
In the U-18 division, the competition between Samba Persada Women and Putri Batang was equally intense. From the opening minutes, Samba Persada Women applied pressure, which Putri Batang countered with swift attacks. Persistent play from both forward lines made for a tight battle for possession. Samba Persada Women displayed disciplined play to breach Putri Batang's defense, yet several golden one-on-one opportunities went unconverted. The match remained scoreless as the first half concluded after one minute of stoppage time.
In the second half, Samba Persada Women’s tiki-taka style of play frequently dominated the Putri Batang defensive zone. However, Samba Persada Women’s direct shooting attempts lacked precision. In the 46th minute, Ratna Ayu Setyo Dewanti narrowly missed the right side of the goal, and a chaotic scramble also saw Jullysti Dayren Gianni Matui miss the target. The match remained highly competitive until Samba Persada Women earned a penalty kick following a foul in the box. Griselda Vivian Mariana successfully converted the penalty, securing a 1-0 victory and clinching the top spot in the U-18 standings of the U-18 HYDROPLUS Soccer League Kudus 2025 – 2026 with 34 points. Despite the final match defeat, Putri Batang finished as runners-up with 25 points.
Samba Persada Women head coach Ari Guntur Dewanto praised his team for a successful campaign, finishing with 11 wins and one draw in 12 matches. This result provides momentum ahead of the upcoming HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026. “The national round will feature top-tier competition. We have identified areas to improve—attacking, defending, and scoring—over the next month. We emphasize that being a top player starts with discipline, consistency, and good character both on and off the pitch,” said Ari.
With the Kudus regional matches concluded, the lineup for the national stage is set, joining representatives from the Bandung and Surabaya regions. The HYDROPLUS Soccer League (HPSL) ALL STARS tournament is scheduled for July 5-12, 2026, at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus.
