The Central National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) Has Officially Concluded the 2025 Kudus Martial Arts PON.

Chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, officially concluded the 2025 Martial Arts National Sports Week (PON) at Djarum Arena, GOR Kaliputu, Kudus, Central Java, on Sunday (Oct. 26, 2025).

In his closing remarks, Marciano expressed gratitude for the successful conclusion of the event, which has been underway since Oct. 11.

“Praise be to God, we have concluded the 2025 Martial Arts PON successfully. I extend my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Djarum Foundation for their extraordinary partnership, as well as to all regional KONI offices for their support,” Marciano stated.

He also praised the warm reception from the Kudus community, which helped enliven the event. “The enthusiasm of the people of Kudus was extraordinary, especially during the opening ceremony when the Regent, his staff, and the athletes marched toward the town square. Their welcome was festive and spirited. Let us record this PON as a golden milestone for proud sports organization,” he continued.

Marciano emphasized that the fighting spirit displayed by the athletes in Kudus reflects high hopes for the future of Indonesian sports.

“Athletes come bearing the honor of their regions, and their spirit reflects the future athletes of the nation. I hope those who became champions at this Martial Arts PON will also be champions at the SEA Games, Asian Games, and world championships. Let us continue to provide attention and support so they can achieve the highest honors,” he said.

Concluding his speech, Marciano expressed hope that Kudus will be known not only as a gracious host but also as a breeding ground for future elite athletes.

“See you at the next Martial Arts PON in North Sulawesi in early 2026, and back in Kudus in 2027,” he announced to a round of applause.

The ceremonies concluded with the handing over of the KONI flag from the Regent of Kudus to Central KONI Chairman Marciano Norman, marking the end of the 2025 Martial Arts PON and readiness for future events. (Daniel Tanamal)
