KUDUS — The 2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All Stars tournament, scheduled for June 23–28, 2026, is providing a significant boost to the hospitality sector in Kudus Regency. The arrival of hundreds of participants, coaches, officials, and support staff from across Indonesia has triggered a surge in occupancy rates at several local hotels.

Observations on Sunday (June 21, 2026) showed participants beginning to arrive at various hotels serving as official or supporting lodging for the event. The attendees represent 12 cities across Indonesia, including All Stars Jakarta, All Stars Bandung, All Stars Semarang, All Stars Surabaya, All Stars Banjarmasin, and All Stars Samarinda.

The increase in guest numbers is not only being felt by hotel management but also serves as an indicator of broader activity within the local tourism and service sectors linked to national-scale sports events held in Kudus.

Sapphire Boutique Hotel Kudus is among the establishments directly impacted by the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars. Hotel management reported that all available rooms had been booked ahead of the competition's start.

Sapphire Boutique Hotel Kudus Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager, Andri Santoso, noted that tournament participants began arriving over the weekend, pushing occupancy to full capacity.

"Today, Sapphire Boutique Hotel Kudus has received participants for the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars. Our occupancy has reached 100 percent. The enthusiasm from the participants and coaches arriving from various cities has been extraordinary," Andri stated during an interview on Sunday (June 21, 2026).

According to Andri, most of the hotel's 92 rooms are currently occupied by MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars participants and officials. He expressed hope that the tournament will provide sustainable long-term benefits for the hospitality, tourism, and support service industries in Kudus.

A similar trend has been reported at Hotel Griptha Kudus, which has also seen a significant increase in occupancy ahead of the tournament.

Of the 138 available rooms, approximately 90 percent are occupied. The majority of guests are participants, event organizers, and others involved in the staging of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026.

This rise in hotel occupancy demonstrates that national sporting events extend beyond competition, providing significant economic benefits to supporting sectors, including hospitality and related services.

Participants Arrive from Across the Country

Bandung All Stars coach, Oktavianus, known as Coach Okta, expressed his enthusiasm for this year’s tournament. He noted that the journey to Kudus was smooth and praised the support and facilities provided by the organizers.

“The trip from Bandung was pleasant and surprisingly quick, with no traffic. I am eager to step onto the Supersoccer Arena (SSA) field. The sports facilities here in Kudus are extraordinary; the kids are going to love them,” Coach Okta said.

He noted that the Bandung All Stars team has spent the past month in intensive training, including weekly sparring sessions every Friday to refine their readiness.

“We have brought our 16 best players. Our goal is clear: to bring home the title after our group-stage exit last year,” he added.

The intensive preparations reflect the high level of commitment among the participants as they ready themselves to compete against the finest young talent from across the nation.

“It is wonderful to meet friends from other regions. We do not view each other as opponents here, but as friends. That said, our goal remains winning the championship. We must work hard because our opponents are highly skilled, so we have to stay competitive,” said Fazia.

She added that the competitive atmosphere has not hindered participants from building friendships and getting to know one another. These interactions have become an invaluable part of their overall tournament experience.
