Roket FC Adjusts Training Schedule for Ramadan

Jakarta | Entering the holy month of Ramadan, Roket FC has adjusted its training schedule. To ensure players can observe the fast while avoiding fatigue and dehydration, most training sessions have been moved to the late afternoon or just before iftar. Training drills have also been modified to maintain consistency without compromising quality.

We made these changes so the players can train in better conditions while fasting. We have adjusted the intensity to fit the Ramadan schedule—keeping the workload manageable while maintaining team quality and consistency,” said Roket FC U-18 head coach Iswadi.

Following afternoon sessions, the team routinely gathers for iftar and prayers, fostering morale during the month of Ramadan. “These moments are crucial for building team unity and cohesion, not just on the pitch, but emotionally as well,” he added.

This camaraderie and resilience have been central to Iswadi’s philosophy since the team joined the national women's youth league last October. The fighting spirit of Maisya Marwa Sofa and her teammates has propelled Roket FC to third place in the Jakarta U-18 standings, with 24 points from eight wins and two losses.

Roket FC remains in contention for the top spot, trailing second-place Putri Tangsel City by three points and leaders Putri JP Jakarta by six. The competition remains fierce, with Newland FA and Raga Negeri trailing closely behind.

The top-three standing going into the Ramadan break marks a strong performance for the team. However, Iswadi notes that there will be no warm-up matches when the competition, supported by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and HYDROPLUS, resumes in early April 2026. “In addition to group training, we are assigning individual home workouts to ensure the players maintain their physical conditioning and skills throughout the break,” he explained.

Iswadi hopes the adjustments will help his squad maintain the form they have shown since the season began. He also expressed optimism that the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026 will see continued improvement in both organization and match quality, noting that higher competitive standards are vital for the growth of national women’s football.
