Samba Persada Women Signal Their Dominance

Kudus | Samba Persada Women closed out their final match of the HYDROPLUS Soccer League U-18 girls' category in Kudus before the Ramadan break with a goal fest on Sunday (Feb 15) afternoon. The resounding 12-0 victory over Cirebon United at the Supersoccer Arena in Rendeng, Kudus, Central Java, has further bolstered Samba Persada Women's ambitions to cement their dominance in the national-level girls' soccer league.

The 12 goals in the sixth-week match included two hat-tricks from Safa Kurnia Salsabila and Griselda Vivian Mariana. Shifana Rizka Nadhifa and Afkarina Diyanatul Khoir each added two goals, while Yuri Maheswari Wijaya contributed one. An own goal by Cirebon United forward Lady Lismaya completed the scoreline.

This lopsided win keeps Samba Persada Women at the top of the provisional standings with 13 points, earned from four wins and one draw. Meanwhile, Cirebon United remains in fourth place with three points from one win and four losses.

In another match this week, Putri Batang faced PSW Putri Mataram Sleman. The match was competitive from the opening whistle. Putri Batang took an early 1-0 lead with a strike from Kirana Fatkhu Zahra in the 24th minute, which held until halftime.

In the second half, PSW Putri Mataram Sleman equalized through Nur Sofia Hilmi Khafa in the 57th minute. However, eight minutes later, Anggun Eka Kumala Sari scored the winner, securing three points for Putri Batang.

The narrow victory moves Tri Widiyanto's squad back into second place with 10 points—three wins, one draw, and one loss. Conversely, PSW Putri Mataram Sleman remains at the bottom of the table.
