KUDUS – The MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) All Stars 2026, which began at Supersoccer Arena in Kudus on Tuesday (June 23, 2026), is showcasing more than just youth female soccer talent from across Indonesia. Running through June 28, the event is also providing a significant economic boost for local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) operating within the arena complex.

Since the opening day, the area surrounding Supersoccer Arena has been bustling with players, officials, families, and spectators. The constant influx of visitors has enlivened commercial activity at the designated tenant and MSME stalls within the stadium grounds.

Around lunch hour, culinary vendors saw a surge in foot traffic as visitors sought food and beverages. The gathering of thousands in one location has created accessible economic opportunities for local merchants.

Sales Growth Since Opening Day

Liana, a meatball vendor operating a stall at the venue, noted a positive impact, reporting that her sales have significantly exceeded her daily average.

"Sales have been quite good today. Compared to my usual spot at the Kretek Museum, where I sell about 50 portions a day, the enthusiasm here is extraordinary. I have already sold over 50 portions today and I am confident I will exceed one hundred," Liana said between serving customers.

According to Liana, the heavy flow of visitors since the morning demonstrates that national tournaments like the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars serve as a viable business catalyst for small-scale merchants. Beyond increased revenue, these MSMEs gain valuable exposure for their products among visitors from diverse regions.

She praised the organizers for providing space for local businesses to participate during the tournament. “MSMEs feel well-supported by Djarum through events like this. It is a real boost to our economy,” she said.

Increased sales were also reported by Heny, a fresh orange juice vendor who took advantage of the hot weather in Kudus to offer refreshing drinks to attendees. Since morning, her stall has been busy with customers seeking relief from the heat after watching matches or participating in activities at the arena.

To anticipate high demand, Heny prepared up to 75 kilograms of pure oranges for the duration of the event. This preparation was based on her past experience at similar events, which typically draw large crowds.

“The heat in Kudus has made cold drink sales quite brisk. Even at this hour, I have sold more than 25 cups. This event usually boosts my sales by about 70-80 percent compared to my daily sales in Getas Pejaten,” Heny noted.

This is significant for her business. Consequently, Heny expressed her gratitude to the organizers for involving local MSMEs in the 2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars series of activities.

The economic momentum generated during the tournament is bolstered by the presence of participants and their families traveling from various regions across Indonesia. Beyond watching the matches, they also take time to enjoy the facilities available within the arena area.

This momentum was evident as crowds filled both the stadium stands and the various food and beverage vendors. For local merchants, the influx of players' families, supporters, and fans served as a primary driver for increased transactions throughout the competition.

This phenomenon highlights that sporting events extend their impact beyond the field, fueling local economic activity. The demand generated by each match creates tangible business opportunities for local traders.

The diverse culinary offerings around the venue proved to be a major draw for visitors from outside the region, providing them with dining options while they awaited match schedules or relaxed after cheering for their teams.

The impact of hosting the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026 was also felt by visitors from outside Kudus, including Muhammad Iqbal, a Banjarmasin resident who traveled to support his daughter in the tournament.

For Iqbal, the trip to Kudus offered more than just a chance to watch youth soccer; it provided an opportunity to enjoy the city and the high-quality facilities at the event site.

"The city is comfortable, the games are exciting, and the event is well-organized. The facilities here are impressive, and the addition of food stalls and play areas really caters to families," said Iqbal.

He noted that the availability of comprehensive support facilities made the stay enjoyable for participating families, adding value to the overall spectator experience through the inclusion of dining and recreation zones.

Iqbal added that he sampled various food and beverages from local small business owners, marking it as a highlight of his time accompanying his daughter in Kudus.

"We tried the meatballs, nasi pecel, and iced orange juice. Everything was delicious. We came here not only to watch our daughter play but also out of curiosity about the Supersoccer Arena, which has truly exceeded our expectations," he continued.

Iqbal’s experience illustrates how a sports tournament creates an ecosystem well beyond the matches themselves. The presence of visitors from across the country fosters economic interaction while showcasing the region's potential to a broader audience.

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026 features 12 of the top teams from across Indonesia. The competition serves as a platform for young female soccer players to showcase their talents while gaining experience in a national-level environment.

Beyond the pitch, the tournament illustrates a clear link between sports and the local economy. The influx of thousands of visitors provides an immediate boost to local business activity, particularly for small and medium-sized culinary enterprises.

This impact was evident from the opening day, with many vendors reporting increased sales compared to standard business days. If this trend holds throughout the remainder of the event, the broader economic benefits for the community could be significant.

In addition to fostering young talent, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All Stars 2026 demonstrates how sporting events create opportunities for local merchants to expand their market reach and boost revenue. The synergy between match play, spectator turnout, and commercial activity creates a mutually supportive ecosystem.
