Liem Swie King is a men's singles badminton legend who gained international acclaim for Indonesia. He was the first athlete to join PB Djarum after its formal establishment as a badminton club in 1971. King achieved numerous prestigious victories, including All England titles in 1978, 1979, and 1981, as well as a gold medal at the 1978 Asian Games. He served as a key player for the Indonesian Thomas Cup team on six occasions, securing the championship in 1976, 1979, and 1984.
