The championship takes place at Supersoccer Arena from August 14–23, 2026, featuring seven countries: host Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.

This addition provides greater flexibility for match scheduling and training sessions, while enhancing comfort for athletes, match officials, and spectators during night events.

These improvements are part of ongoing infrastructure developments at Supersoccer Arena tailored to the requirements of modern sports competitions. The stadium's lighting system is designed to provide up to 1,800 lux to support matches and other activities requiring optimal illumination.

In addition to installing stadium lights, management has refined several support facilities, including the media area, player transit rooms, tunnel access to the pitch, and various operational needs to ensure a smooth competition experience.

"We have established programs for these sports disciplines, namely badminton, women's football, athletics, and archery," he said Wednesday (July 15, 2026).

Welly emphasized that sports facilities cannot provide optimal impact without sustainable development programs. Consequently, hosting various competitions is essential for providing competitive experience and measuring the performance progression of athletes.

He explained that the development of Supersoccer Arena is part of the Djarum Foundation's commitment to providing long-term training facilities, aspiring to enable athletes to reach higher competitive levels.

"SSA was built to advance sports in Kudus and propel them to a global stage. Djarum Foundation President Director Victor Hartono holds a vision to increase Indonesia's international prominence. Badminton has proven this, and we hope women's football can follow suit by reaching the world stage," he added.

For Welly, success is not merely measured by tournament trophies. More importantly, it is about providing athletes with a continuous path for development through sustainable programs.

Welly noted that growth is becoming evident in women's football, with an increasing number of school-aged girls joining football academies and participating in ranked competitions over the last few years.

"The impact is clear; excitement for women's football is growing. It was once considered a minor sport, but after three years, results are visible. Students are actively participating through a structured pathway from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge to the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars, meaning more are enrolling in football schools," he explained.

He added that regular competition provides athletes with exposure to opponents from various regions, which serves as a vital learning experience as each match presents unique challenges.

Welly stated that this commitment will be maintained through the Djarum Foundation’s focus on these specific sports.

"The Djarum Foundation will continue its core sports programs, including badminton, women's football, athletics, and archery. We must ensure this development remains unbroken, as consistency is the key to success," he concluded.

"The most memorable part is getting to meet clubs from other regions. The field is excellent, meeting national standards. I also train here often, sometimes eight to twelve times a week. I find this venue superior to others; the track is excellent and it is conveniently located," he said.

Widoro Heryanto, Head of the Sports Division at the Kudus Education, Youth, and Sports Agency (Disdikpora), highlighted that the region has maintained an early-age athlete development program through the Special Sports Class (KKO) since 2009.

The program provides a platform for students to develop their athletic skills without sacrificing their formal education. Since its inception, the KKO has produced numerous high-achieving athletes across various levels of competition.

“Kudus is seriously committed to sports development, notably through the Special Sports Class (KKO) program, which has served as a grooming ground for young athletes since 2009. The KKO program has produced numerous achievements ranging from the regency level to the international stage. We hope this initiative continues to produce accomplished athletes, not only at the local level but also at the national and international levels,” he stated.

According to Widoro, the Supersoccer Arena strengthens the existing development system by serving as a central hub where athletes from various regions congregate for competition.

“The benefits of the SSA are crucial because it hosts athletes from diverse regions. Developing athletes can learn from their peers, share experiences, and grow together. The SSA has become a crucible for discovering new talent and selecting top-tier athletes. It is an excellent initiative as it remains open to everyone,” he said.

He noted that gatherings between athletes from different regions provide learning opportunities that are not always available during localized training. Through competition, athletes can observe different training methods, gameplay styles, and opponent capabilities, thereby continually broadening their competitive experience.
