Scorpion FC Kudus Strengthens Youth Development for Female Soccer Players Through Local Competitions

Kudus – Scorpion FC Kudus has emerged as a key organization in Central Java, dedicated to developing young female soccer talent. The club invites girls aged 8 to 15 to hone their skills through consistent training and competitive experience.

The club's progress was recently highlighted by its U-15 team during the HYDROPLUS Soccer League 2025/2026 season. Competing at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus, the Scorpion FC U-15 squad finished at the top of the standings, claiming the championship title and securing a spot in the national round.

Forged from a Need for Development

Scorpion Woman FC was established as a follow-up to the Milklife Soccer Challenge All Stars program. Assistant Coach Islam Andika explained that the club was created to provide a platform for young athletes who wished to continue training after the program concluded.

Andika noted that many former participants sought an environment to further their development but lacked a sustainable training avenue. Scorpion FC was created to bridge this gap, serving as a dedicated facility for young female players.

The club is open to anyone with an interest in soccer, regardless of technical ability. For the U-10 group, programs are specifically designed for beginners, focusing on foundational skills and the basics of the game.

Consistent Training and Character Building

To foster growth, Scorpion FC holds training sessions three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at the Super Soccer Arena.

Beyond technical instruction, the coaching staff emphasizes character development. Players are encouraged to build self-confidence, teamwork, and mental readiness for competitive matches.

This approach is tailored to the needs of young athletes in developmental stages, prioritizing the learning journey over mere match results.

Andika noted that these improvements are already visible, stating that as players gain field experience, they demonstrate marked progress in their attitude, decision-making, and competitive composure.

He stated that the program's primary objective is not merely to pursue competitive results, but to support player development through training and experiential learning.

Positive Results in the Hydroplus Soccer League

Scorpion FC's U-15 team achieved a significant milestone in the 2025–2026 Hydroplus Soccer League, concluding the season as the U-15 age group champions.

This victory qualified Scorpion FC for the national round, a result of the team's consistent training and participation in youth competitions.

Beyond winning the title, the U-15 squad gained recognition for its balanced attack and defense. The team maintained a high win rate while demonstrating a robust, disciplined defense throughout the competition.

Following the end of the competition, players were granted a one-week break before resuming their training regimen.

Looking Ahead to the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026

With the Hydroplus Soccer League concluded, the team is now focused on preparing for the U-15 HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026, scheduled for July 5-12, 2026.

Andika noted that preparation is ongoing, building upon the positive momentum players displayed during the previous season. The coaching staff expects players to apply these experiences in the upcoming tournament.

In the long term, Scorpion FC seeks to do more than win individual tournaments; the club aims to support players in reaching their full potential, both in soccer and in their broader futures.

Camaraderie and Experience Within the Team

For the players, Scorpion FC serves as more than just a training ground; it is a community that connects them with peers from various regions.

Latisha Syafa Berliana, known as Lian, is one such player. The striker from Demak joined Scorpion FC through a coach from SSB Putra Arisa.

Lian described the team environment as enjoyable, noting that the players are highly supportive of one another. This camaraderie has been a hallmark of her experience in training and matches with Scorpion FC.

Heading into the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026, Lian shares a common goal with her teammates: to achieve the best possible performance.

Leadership on the Pitch

This same spirit is exemplified by Zafika Rahma Indrayani, or Rahma. The defender also serves as the team's vice-captain.

In her role, Rahma works to keep teammates motivated during matches and training sessions. She frequently offers encouragement when the team faces difficult situations on the pitch.

Beyond motivating others, Rahma has her own methods for maintaining focus. When facing pressure or a drop in motivation, she steadies herself by remaining convinced that every challenge can be overcome.

Rahma notes that her football activities have provided significant new experiences. Beyond gaining match experience, she has built new friendships and learned valuable lessons through her journey with the team.

Looking ahead, Rahma aims for a strong performance in the HYDROPLUS Soccer League All Stars 2025/2026 and plans to continue developing her skills to reach a higher level.

Expanding Opportunities for Young Female Footballers

As youth girls' football continues to grow, Scorpion FC remains committed to creating opportunities for girls interested in the sport. The club provides a space for young players to learn, train, and develop their skills within appropriate age groups.

Scorpion FC Assistant Coach Islam Andika stated that football is a sport for everyone, regardless of gender. Consequently, the priority in player development is building confidence and a strong mindset from an early age.

"It is not about gender. What matters is that these children have confidence and display the mentality that all sports, especially football, are open to everyone. Girls and boys are equally entitled to play football," Andika said.

Through routine training and participation in various competitions, Scorpion FC implements a development program focused on the learning process, competitive experience, and character building as part of the players' journey in the sport.
