In Kudus Regency, Markass Sport Center—located at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman No. 184, Rendeng, Kota Kudus—offers a centralized location for multiple sports. The facility provides arenas for futsal, basketball, badminton, and billiards.

Markass Sport Center Supervisor Abdullah Luthfi Noor Aftian explained that the concept aims to provide multiple sports branches in one complex to accommodate a diverse range of users.
"Markass Sport Center is situated in Kudus Regency and integrates several sports into one location. We provide four futsal courts, four badminton courts, and 14 billiard tables that are available to the public every day," he said.
Markass Sport Center features four futsal arenas with distinct characteristics. Arenas A and B utilize synthetic turf of equal dimensions, while Arena C features a plastered surface suitable for both futsal and basketball games.

Beyond those three courts, a main arena is available for various activities, ranging from training sessions to inter-group matches.
The availability of multiple arenas allows users to tailor facilities to their specific needs, depending on the number of players or the type of activity.
For badminton, the management provides four courts utilized by various clubs and sporting groups. Visitors may also use the two table tennis tables located within the indoor sports area.
Meanwhile, the billiard hall spans two floors, featuring a total of 14 tables available during operating hours. This facility serves as a key addition to the diverse range of sports offered at the complex.
According to Aftian, the provision of various arenas aims to accommodate the diverse sporting interests of the community.
Beyond the playing areas, Markass Sport Center features a range of supporting facilities available to visitors.
These amenities include free parking, a prayer room, spectator stands, Wi-Fi access, and on-site snack and beverage services. These additions are part of the center's integrated management for sports and group activities.
The spectator stands are available for tournaments or group events, while the parking area accommodates both individual and group visitors.
Wi-Fi is provided to support visitors' connectivity needs. Furthermore, refreshments are available on-site, allowing users to remain at the facility throughout their session.
“We strive to provide a sports venue accessible to everyone. That is why we have prepared these supporting facilities to enhance the visitor experience,” Aftian said.
Markass Sport Center is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to midnight WIB, closing only on public holidays.
These extended operating hours offer flexibility for users, with some visitors choosing morning sessions before work and others opting for evening time slots.
According to Aftian, court usage is managed through a booking system available to both regular customers and members.
Through this mechanism, users can determine their rental time based on their specific needs and schedule availability.
For customers registered as members, the management offers a recurring scheduling system that is pre-set up to one year in advance.
“Regular customers can use the standard booking system, while members have fixed schedules arranged for up to a year. For example, if they secure a slot every Monday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, that will remain their routine,” he explained.
This model is widely utilized by sports groups that train regularly, ensuring they can access the arena at the same time each week.
Markass Sport Center offers several options for futsal arena rentals, with rates varying based on the court type and time of use.
Arena C, which doubles as a basketball court, is priced at IDR 65,000 per hour from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM WIB, and IDR 85,000 per hour from 4:00 PM to midnight.
Meanwhile, Arenas A and B are priced at IDR 95,000 per hour from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM WIB and IDR 135,000 per hour from 4:00 PM to midnight.
The main arena is available at a rate of IDR 105,000 per hour from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM WIB and IDR 150,000 per hour from 4:00 PM to midnight.
These rates are adjusted according to the specific arena chosen and the time of usage.
Beyond routine training, Markass Sport Center hosts a variety of events involving community groups, corporations, and educational institutions.
Past events held at the venue include sports tournaments, internal community functions, corporate competitions, as well as family gatherings for schools and businesses.
These events utilize the available space tailored to the specific needs of each organizer.
According to Aftian, sports communities are among the most active users of the facility, frequently utilizing the pre-booking system to maintain their regular schedules.
The presence of these communities ensures a steady stream of activity throughout the year.
“We aim to provide a venue for the people of Kudus to pursue their sports hobbies. Many futsal, badminton, and other sports groups regularly gather and train here,” he said.
The diverse facilities at Markass Sport Center are utilized not only by sports communities but also by regular clients training or exercising with coworkers, classmates, and family.
One user, Tamara, shared that she visits Markass Sport Center at least once a week. As a member, she sometimes visits two or three times weekly, depending on her group's schedule and activities.
Tamara noted that badminton is her most frequent activity at the location, though she also utilizes the other facilities for futsal and basketball with her friends.
"I come here at least once a week, sometimes two or three times. I usually play badminton with colleagues, former schoolmates, and other friends," Tamara said.
She noted that the availability of multiple courts makes it easy for her group to gather in large numbers. If necessary, they can rent more than one court simultaneously to accommodate the size of their party.
"There is a variety of courts available. When we come as a large group, we can rent two courts at once. Beyond badminton, there are also futsal and basketball facilities here," she added.
In addition to the varied facilities, Tamara praised the spacious layout of the center, which enhances comfort during activities.
"The venue is spacious, so it does not feel stuffy. The atmosphere is pleasant for both exercising and socializing with friends," she said.
Dicky, a regular user of the futsal courts at Markass Sport Center, echoed these sentiments. He mentioned that he trains consistently and maintains a weekly schedule at the facility.
Dicky trains up to four times a week with his peers, a frequency that has made him well-acquainted with the facility’s condition and layout.
"I play futsal quite often, up to four times a week," Dicky stated.
He explained that several factors draw him to Markass Sport Center, including its proximity to his home and the well-maintained state of the arena and surrounding environment, which support his regular training routine.
"The place is comfortable, the courts are excellent, the facilities are clean, and it is located close to home," he said.
The presence of regular users demonstrates that the facilities are not only used for incidental events like tournaments or community gatherings, but also for ongoing sports activities throughout the year.
Sports remain a popular choice for the community to maintain fitness while fostering social interaction. Consequently, sports facilities are utilized by a wide range of age groups, from students to working professionals.
Aftian expressed his hope that the public will continue to make the most of the available facilities for physical exercise and other positive activities.

He also expressed hope that the available facilities will help support sporting activities in Kudus Regency.
